This phase centers on the initial human perspective, where the individual relies on personal intuition and established life habits to navigate decisions and purposes. It is a stage of autonomy where the primary filter for reality is one's own comfort, ego, and limited worldly understanding.

In this transitional phase, the individual begins to incorporate biblical truth but still filters those teachings through the lens of personal preference or existing biases. It reflects an effort to align one's life with Scripture while still attempting to maintain control over the ultimate outcome and application.

This is the pinnacle of surrender, where the individual fully submits their will and intellect to the transformative power of the Holy Spirit. It represents the shift from merely studying or "using" the Bible to allowing the Word to master the heart, resulting in a life defined by divine purpose rather than personal agenda.
